About the Poole Volunteer Programme

The Poole Volunteer Programme is named in honour of our former chairperson and long-time volunteer Dr. David Poole.

The Poole Volunteer Programme is an important part of the organisation. Volunteers contribute to all areas of our work, providing additionality and added value across the organisation. If you’re interested in working in direct services, you can learn about drug use and addiction, key working and case management, assertive outreach, group work, needle and syringe programs, medical services and assessment, referral and treatment practices. If you’re interested in our office based work, you can learn about drug policy in both domestic and international contexts and the administration and management of charities. We endeavour to ensure that your experience as a volunteer is a good one. We want you to feel valued and that you have learned and benefited from your experience. our work and would like to volunteer, or if you’re a student who’s interested in completing a placement at Ana Liffey, we’d like to hear from you. Please fill in the Volunteer Application Form We believe that volunteers should gain from the experience of working with us, whatever the area.
